The Week

The days surrounding Sept. 2^nd were jam-packed with events. 

Wednesday August 30^th, Mariners vs. Yankees. We invited many of our friends to join us to see the game at Safeco Field. Not to mention, this is the beloved place where Alan proposed.

Thursday, August 31^st We had our rehearsal at the Seattle Design Center and then a terrific dinner at Ray's Boathouse. One of the highlights of the Rehearsal Dinner was the premiere of our Love Story Video by Storybook Wedding Videos.

Friday, September 1^st We always promised ourselves that we wouldn't be one of those couples doing our program the day before our wedding. But somehow, that's exactly who we became. We frantically tried to get everything ready. Then we hosted a couple dozen out of towners at our house.

Saturday, September 2^nd We spent a couple of hours smiling our best supermodel smiles in West Seattle and Safeco Field, prior to the wedding and reception. 

Sunday, September 3^rd, Post-wedding picnic, 1:00 p.m. We celebrated our 1-day anniversary with a picnic at Ravenna Park, a cute park near our house. (Incidentally, Sarah’s cousins the Koehnens used to live on the park.) This picnic was planned especially to help us spend more time with out-of-town guests and show off Samson the Wonder Dog. At 11 p.m., we flew to Boston to begin our honeymoon.
