So Many Businesses, So Little Time

Sure, many of you have known me during my career as a newspaper reporter or a technology dude. But, in addition to all of that, I've been focused on building the "Al's" franchise in all sorts of businesses all across the country.

This is Al's Bait and Beer, 14216 Dixie Highway in Louisville KY in the late 1980s. I recall the owner not understanding the concept of me taking a photo there.

I don't know if I"ll ever find a better store name than "Just Alan" in Cooperstown New York. I have a t'shirt from this trip too. January 2002.	In Des Moines Iowa, we visited Al's Auto Upholstering inand got a 2003 calendar magnet.
	We fully expected Al's Body shop in Helena Montana to be an auto body shop. What a funny surprise to learn that it was for massage therapy. 2003.
Big Al's Sandwich Joint in Helena Montana has changed ownership and name. But they did still use the mugs, so I bought one for $5.	After a looong day on the road, Sarah was determined that we get to Al's Body and Fedner Repair outside of Spokane. 2003.
Al's Glass in Seattle. 2004.	Al's Pizza in Kissimmee, Florida was REALLY good. After the photo shoot, I went back for a second piece. 2004.
Also, Al's Pizza. Yes, I think this might become a trend. 2004.	Al's Discount Tire. One of the challenges is that sometimes I don't have a cameraperson. So here, I'm in an industrial area on a Sunday. So I have to shoot this by myself.
