Charter SeatsHere are the results for the 2002 Charter draft:
Each year starting with 2003, everyone's spot will move up three places. So the 2003 draft will be: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, 3, in the first round.
To see how cool these seats are, check out my Safeco Field page. There will be ten of us dividing a pair of season tickets from July 1999 to the end of
the 2018 season (when the Mariner's lease expires).
I have the first rights at anything not detailed above. This is still up for discussion, but as far as I'm concerned, you are free to sell your rights at any time during the 20 years. My only caveat is that I communicate primarily through e'mail and may not be willing to accept responsibility for having to phone or U.S. mail group members with these updates. If you choose to sell to someone without access to e'mail (or lose e'mail yourself) it will be incumbent on them to call me to get information. You are free to do with your tickets as you wish as well. However, in the Mariner's rules there are prohibitions against scalping seats and we could lose them if anyone does that. So don't. I haven't thought about what would happen if I leave Seattle because I don't plan on it. I would likely still continue to organize from wherever I am. We should designate somebody to take over, though, for such a circumstance. Maybe the following goes without saying. But I want to be clear now to avoid any possible misunderstandings in the future. We lose our rights to the seats if we don't buy them and pay for them within the Mariner's deadlines. Therefore, your money will be due to me each year 48 hours prior to the bill being due to the Mariner's. In the case of a playoff game, your fee will be the price of the most expensive game that could be played at your number. (For example, if you have playoff game #5 and it could be an ALCS game for $50 a seat or it could be a World Series game for $75 a seat, you will owe $75 per seat. I will, of course, refund you the overage if it turns out to be the ALCS game.) I always try to be reasonable and send out lots of notices of what will be due when. But if you do not make your payment on time, I have the right to deny you those tickets. I try to flexible and certainly would take any extenuating circumstances into account, but it always seems that somebody in a group feels they need to push the envelope. So be forewarned that if I have to front the money for any regular season or playoff tickets, I have the absolute right to keep them. In exchange, it is my obligation to give you complete information as soon as I get it and to pay you within 48 hours of receiving any refund for unused tickets.
